Rocky Mountain National Park timed entry
Rocky Mountain continues timed entry in 2026. The standard Timed Entry reservation is needed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily from May 22 through October 12. It covers the park except Bear Lake Road.
Timed Entry + Bear Lake Road is needed for the Bear Lake Road corridor from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from May 22 through October 18. It also includes access to the rest of the park. Both products use two-hour arrival windows, and each has a $2 Recreation.gov processing fee in addition to a valid entrance pass.
The park releases monthly blocks beginning at 8 a.m. Mountain Time, with additional inventory at 7 p.m. the night before. A campground reservation can include timed access under specific conditions, but it does not always provide early entry or Bear Lake access. Road, sunrise, cavern, and hike reservations
Cadillac Summit Road at Acadia
A $6 vehicle reservation is required to drive Cadillac Summit Road from May 20 through October 25, 2026. It is separate from the park entrance pass. The reservation is per vehicle, does not guarantee a specific parking space, and does not allow re-entry. Walking, biking, or taking a taxi does not require the road reservation.
Haleakalā summit sunrise
A reservation is required to enter the Summit District by vehicle from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. for sunrise. The reservation does not replace the entrance fee. The official page explains the rolling release and asks visitors to bring the confirmation and photo identification.
Old Rag at Shenandoah
